Determine the installation position - the port side or the starboard side of the fishing boat? There is no definite answer to this, it depends on your habit of controlling the fishing boat and fishing. If you are used to driving on the port side, you need to think about the installation on the starboard side, so that the forward push will not obstruct your front view. When determining the orientation of the device, you should also consider the general fishing location and the fishing method used.
Remove the set screw and remove the base of the device. For most of the forward push, the installation hole will be visible.
Assemble the front thrusters before deciding on the location of the installation holes on the deck. Fix the drive rod and propeller head on the base, put the front push in a stowed position on the bow, and place it parallel to the side of the boat.
Push the front drive rod as close as possible to the centerline of the fishing boat, assuming that the drive rod, propeller against the centerline, control the motor when the scene of simple lateral drift.
Domestic fiberglass fishing boat: first position the front end of the base of the device to ensure that the front push does not touch the edge of the bow when running. In general, the front end of the base needs to be flush with the edge of the boat, or perhaps the front end is slightly outstanding (outstanding length should not exceed 1 inch/2.5 cm).

Generally use a ruler to measure, determine the orientation, to ensure that the motor propeller head in the vertical area of the hull.
Again acknowledge the front end of the installation base position, in the bow position in accordance with the shape of the installation base hole to play two positioning holes, generally have another person to help press the base, the hole does not occur when the movement. After punching the holes, use the screws to fix. Then punch other holes, in order to facilitate the operation, at this moment can be the drive rod, propeller head removed.
Ideally, you will be able to reach the bottom of the deck and fix the motor with the nut fixing bolt. In reality, this is not always the case. If you cannot reach the bottom of the deck to fix it, we recommend using expansion bolts for installation.
After all the installation, then install the base side plate.
Note: When drilling holes in domestic FRP fishing boats, you must use a drill bit with a slightly larger diameter than needed to avoid cracking the gel layer of the hull.
